Summer has definitely arrived and the whole country has enjoyed some great weather over the past few weeks. We were at Pukekohe Golf Club the other day and whilst the course was in great condition, the effects of the sun were clear to see with the fairways quite brown! Our thoughts have been, and continue to be with those in the Nelson region, some of whom are still not able to go back to their homes due to the huge forest fire.
Our first tour of the year departs next weekend to Tasmania, where there have also been some extremes of weather recently! I’m sure that the group will have a great time in a part of Australia that is probably most like NZ, if that is possible!
World class golf is due back in New Zealand in just a few weeks time and I was watching Ryan Fox & Ben Campbell doing well over in Perth these last few days. Very soon our Queenstown golf courses will be showcased to the world again as the 100th NZ Open tees off, followed a week later by the NZ PGA Championship at Pegasus, Christchurch. If you are able to get to either of these events, it is really worthwhile and quite an education watching the Pros as they go about their business!
We have had a cancellation on our Ladies Golf Retreat so there are two spaces that have become available. This is a great opportunity to escape the NZ Winter for some warmth and sunshine whilst getting some valuable coaching from one of New Zealands’ leading coaches.
